Tsolis Camping Dive Site, Achaia

May 19, 2026

Tsolis Camping is one of the most iconic shore dives in Achaia, offering steep walls, strong underwater relief, and rich marine life just minutes from Patras.

Dive Overview

The dive site at Tsolis Camping is a reference point for local divers in Achaia.

Located only 25 minutes from the center of Patras, it combines easy shore access with dramatic underwater terrain and abundant marine life.

The site is suitable for divers of different experience levels, as the dive can remain shallow or extend into deeper wall sections reaching 40 meters.

Entry & Conditions

Park your vehicle as close to the shoreline as possible and carry your equipment down to the beach.

The beach is mostly covered with pebbles and is also suitable for swimming.

The nearby camping facilities provide everything divers may need during the day, including a café, restaurant, and mini market.

Entry into the water is straightforward, with no major difficulties.

Prepare your equipment, complete your buddy checks, and descend directly from shore.

What You ‘ll See

Head to the right after entering the water and you will soon reach a large plateau at approximately 13 meters depth.

This plateau is particularly popular for night diving because it attracts a wide variety of marine life.

From there, a steep wall begins descending sharply into deeper water, reaching depths of up to 40 meters in some sections.

The underwater terrain is dramatic, with vertical rock formations, cracks, and changing depth profiles that create an engaging dive even at shallower levels.

Adjust your route and maximum depth according to your certification level and dive plan.

Important Consideration

  • Wall drops quickly into deep water
  • Good buoyancy control recommended
  • Popular night diving location
  • Depth awareness important in low-light dives

Depth Profile

Tips for divers

  • Explore the 13-meter plateau carefully for marine life

  • Monitor depth frequently along the wall
  • Stay within planned recreational limits
  • Bring a torch if diving late afternoon or at night
