Lino is one of the most accessible and beginner-friendly dive sites in Skyros, offering a shallow cavern and simple navigation.
Located directly along the main road, the site combines convenience with interesting underwater features, making it a great option for a second or third dive of the day.
The shallow depth and easy conditions make it ideal for training dives or divers looking for a relaxed experience.
Entry & Conditions
Access is extremely easy, with parking available near the beach close to a stone fountain. From there, it’s a short walk of approximately 70 meters to the entry point.
The beach is small, sandy, and faces northeast, which means it can be exposed to waves depending on weather conditions.
It is not organized, but nearby cafés and markets are just a few minutes away by car.
Entry is straightforward. It is recommended to walk into the water with your gear on and put on your fins once the water reaches waist level.
What You ‘ll See
After entering the water, head east, keeping the rocky shoreline on your right side.
After approximately 50 meters, you will cross a sandy patch before reaching another reef area.
The highlight of the dive is a shallow cavern at around 6 meters depth. The cavern has an open ceiling, allowing sunlight to penetrate and create beautiful lighting effects inside.
Additionally, there is a very shallow swim-through with both entry and exit points, perfect for easy exploration.
