At first glance, Prasonisi may seem like just another small islet off northern Evia. However, beneath the surface lies a rich and dynamic underwater environment waiting to be explored.
Accessible only by boat, this site combines varied topography with both shallow and deep features, making it suitable for divers looking for a complete and immersive dive experience.
Entry & Conditions
Access is strictly by boat. Ensure your anchor is secure before entering the water and always check weather conditions in advance.
If no one remains on board during the dive, avoid anchoring in strong wind or rough sea conditions.
The recommended entry point is from the tip of the islet facing Pontikonisi Islet.
What You ‘ll See
This dive site features two large and impressive isolated rock formations (“monopetra”), along with smaller caves, canyons, and reef structures.
Following a clockwise route (with the islet on your right shoulder), you’ll explore a wide and varied terrain.
Yellow gorgonians begin to appear at around 20–22 meters, while red gorgonians can be found deeper, from approximately 30–32 meters.
The site is extensive, offering multiple areas to explore, and rewards divers who take their time.
